We are looking for two creative and capable Level 2 Learning Support Assistants to join our hard working, inclusive friendly, caring and thriving team. The successful candidates will initially work under the guidance of the class teachers. The position is to support pupils across Keystage 1 & Keystage 2 areas within the school, with their learning and behavioural needs. We are a Thrive school and would welcome anyone with relevant Thrive experience. The LSA will support and be able to show impact on the teaching and learning in the classroom(s). Day to day responsibilities will include assessing learning needs and assisting with the learning, development and implementation of behaviour and learning plans. The successful candidate will be able to set high expectations, be encouraging and nurturing and be willing to support the school’s Christian Ethos, whilst providing clear boundaries and guidance in line with our school policy. The ability to work as part of a cohesive team is essential. It is expected that the LSA will provide supervision and support to ensure the pupils’ safety and access to all learning activities, including P.E. The LSA will also be required to assist with the safe evacuation of pupils in an emergency.
Essential qualifications include Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent) and recent experience in a primary school setting.
Desirable qualifications include NVQ3 supporting teaching and learning in schools.
