  • Year 4 - Elsie Chamberlain / Harry Sidnell
  • Year 3 - James Burnard / Isabelle Lee
  • Treasure: Aiden Shipp

Why do we have a School Council?

  • To help children develop responsible attitudes.
  • To improve behaviour throughout the school.
  • To give children hands-on experience of issues in the National Curriculum, including PHSE and Citizenship.
  • To create a feeling of belonging, encourage listening to others and develop self-confidence
  • To improve pupil / teacher relationships.

When do the School Council meetings take place?

  • Formal School Council meetings take place once a half term.
  • Informal workshops run every Monday lunchtime with Mrs Day, our link teacher.

How can I raise an issue?

  • Tell your class representative or put a note in the School Council suggestion box in your classroom - your issue or suggestion will be raised at a future meeting. How do I find out what happened?
  • Class representatives will feed back to their class as soon as possible after the meeting.
  • Minutes of the meetings will be put on the School Council notice board and posted on the Sacred Heart website.
