Friends Of Sacred Heart (FOSH)
FOSH was formed in October 1990, to meet the need for a parents’ association, and since then has played an important role in the life of the school. Parents automatically become members of the association with the enrolment of their child at the school.
The main aims of the association are set out in their constitution, namely:
1. to foster social links between the parent body and with the school;
2. to enhance the education of the children by the provision of resources above and beyond that which would normally be expected to be provided from the school’s budget share under L.M.S.
The Committee comprises a Chairman, Vice-Chairman and a parent representative from each class.
There are additional representatives from:
- The Teaching Staff. Miss O'Donoghue is the present staff representative.
- The Headteacher is President of FOSH
Activities are arranged throughout the year for:
- social interaction for parents and/or pupils;
- fund raising.
The funds are allocated after consultation with the headteacher and staff.
