Civic Award Update

Posted: 26 November 2018

Our Year 6 Civic Award children would like to say a big thank you for all the donations they received to their Christmas Boxes appeal. They were able to fill 30 boxes and as I am writing the boxes are on a lorry travelling to Eastern Europe to be opened with love by the children who receive them. A fantastic effort by all. On Tuesday Evie had her hair cut for her chosen charity: NSPCC. Evie organised the whole event herself and her hairdresser kindly came in on her day off. Evie has raised over £220. Well done!!

KS2 Commemoration Service

Posted: 21 November 2018

Last Monday, our Key Stage 2 children invited family and friends to their service of commemoration. They remembered those who lost their lives or were maimed in the Great War that ended 100 years ago. It was a moving service and our children showed understanding and respect. We were pleased to welcome members of the Royal British Legion, their standard bearer, the Burma Star Society and our veteran Cyril, who said a few moving words. It is an experience our children will remember, I know we all will.

On Friday, we joined in the fun and raised money for Children in Need by wearing our pyjamas to school.  Together with your generous donations on Friday and the sale of Pudsey and Blush ears, we have raised a fabulous £569.28!!  Thank you so much.
